Inside the Cohorted Summer Sunset Box: A KVD Beauty Collaboration Review
Cohorted Beauty has pulled the curtain back on its Summer Sunset Beauty Box, a five-piece collaboration with KVD Beauty carrying a stated combined retail value of £116.

Per the brand's reveal post, every item inside is full-size. The purchase price, however, is conspicuously absent from the announcement.
What's Actually in the Box
Five products. No deluxe samples, no foil packets.
- Dazzle Gel Hyper-Metallic Eyeshadow in Bronzite Fusion 70 — cream-to-gel formula, warm bronze metallic finish.
- Good Apple Blush Balm Duo — buildable cream blush, marketed for all skin types.
- Super Pomade in Scarlet OR Everlasting Hyperlight Transfer-Proof Liquid Lipstick — you receive one or the other, not both. The swap is disclosed in the product copy.
- Highlighter in Venus Nectar — luminous finish, no shade family or price claim specified.
- Tattoo Pencil Gel Eyeliner in Trooper Black — waterproof gel liner, one of KVD's flagship eye products.
Three face items, two eye items, one of which is a lottery allocation. The Super Pomade / Liquid Lipstick swap is the variable that determines whether you walk away with a complete face routine or a face routine minus lips.
The Price Problem
The headline figure is £116. The spend figure is not published in the reveal. For any honest value audit, that is the only number that decides whether this is a deal, a fair trade, or a marked-up bundle.
Treat £116 as marketing value until Cohorted discloses the box price. Real value is what you hand over minus what the same items cost at counter retail. Without the entry price, the £116 figure is a rounding exercise, not a discount.
How It Stacks Against Recent Drops
Two other current beauty boxes give a usable benchmark:
- Latest in Beauty Mystery Box #6 — £24 for 10+ products, claimed value over £60. Roughly 40% off stated value at the register, with the usual caveat that mystery boxes tend to mix full-size with deluxe samples.
- Space NK 2026 Beauty Advent Calendar — £275 for 35 products (26 full-size), claimed value over £1,200. The steepest claimed discount of the three on paper, offset by advent-calendar timing and a long tail of smaller items.
If the Cohorted box lands under £50, it competes directly with the Latest in Beauty Mystery Box on cost-per-claimed-pound. If it lands over £80, the math tightens fast and the value angle starts to flatten.
Verdict
Wait for the number.
The product mix is credible. KVD is a real mid-to-high-end brand, every item is full-size, and the curated edit covers eyes, cheeks, and lips. None of that is the issue.
The issue is that Cohorted has not published the box price. A £40 box at £116 claimed value is a buy. A £90 box at £116 claimed value is a skip. The brand holds the answer; it has chosen to withhold it. Until that single figure appears in writing, the value proposition cannot be verified and the buy button stays on hold.
